The Catty Tour is a fictitious music festival that is catered to femme-identifying individuals. With this project, I made an effort to stray away from the male gaze as much as possible by introducing symbols, colors, and language that is relevant to my specific audience. Among all of the harmful words that are often used by men, the term catty is used against women that are considered to be malicious or mean. By naming this festival The Catty Tour, I wanted to take back the word and turn it into something that is equally hilarious and boundless, rather than something that is insulting. In terms of design, this entire project was created using a variety of custom typography, a delicious color palette that highlights the color pink, hand-done illustrations, and the catty icon herself: the face of the Catty Tour.
